The Buttermilk Rusk - the most traditional of the South African rusks. In South Africa, we have these for breakfast (also for a tea-time treat) dipped in our morning tea or coffee. It's similar to the Italian idea of biscotti, but the main difference is that biscotti is a sweet, hard biscuit. The South African Rusk is more like sweet bread, also double-baked but with much less sugar and lighter, not as hard.
